LA Restores: Philippines Benefit
The Philippines were hit by the worst storm in recorded history in November 2013 by Typhoon Haiyan. They are now in the worst condition they’ve ever been in, and they need our help! We are hosting a special benefit aimed at providing assistance to help rebuild and restore the lives of the surviving families who were affected.

Harry Shum Jr.’s “If You Are In a Shell” — an interpretive dance about what it’s like to be painfully shy. Choreographed by Harry, narrated by Buzzfeed’s Ze Frank and exploding with color and emotion, the powerful video encourages people to overcome their shyness, first by accepting that there’s nothing wrong — and actually something refreshingly beautiful — about being awkward.
“If you, right now, are in a shell,” says Frank, “you should know that you’re not alone — that there are many, many other people like you… it might even be necessary right now. It might keep you safe for a time. But after the danger is gone and after it’s exhausted its use, you’ll find a way out.”

April 5th Fundraiser Featuring Harry Shum Jr.'s "If You Are In A Shell" Auction
Creativity Heals will be hosting a fundraiser at LAB ART Gallery on Saturday, April 5th from 6-9pm. This event will be a celebration of the closing of our online fundraising auction of Harry Shum Jr.'s "If You Are In a Shell' costume, which is currently on display. The auction will also feature a Hawaiian vacation for two, including airfare, and paintings by acclaimed and emerging street artists. Our guests may enjoy complimentary beverages, appetizers, sounds by DJ Hunt and friends, and a special creative performance. The venue is a reflection of our mission and passion for the arts, as we continue to raise funds to provide creative outlets for at risk youth.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards art supplies, materials, mentors, and space lease for Creativity Heals to provide their services to the community.
Fun-raiser Friday with J-Yoga
All proceeds will go to Creativity Heals non-profit organization dedicated providing creative outlets to at-risk youth promoting empowerment, self-discovery, and self-worth through creativity and self-expression.
